Community & Competitions
Being party of our Community is important to us at The Wood Fire Oven. From our early days with our locations in community parks, to supporting football teams, netball teams, and even our local community Facebook pages, has been a focus of our business and our team. We like to give back to the community where we can, and whilst times are tough right now for many, we have also been involved in daily giveaways to our facebook community.
We’d like to continue doing this but it takes the support of our community to help us do that, and so we have put together a page to connect with our local community, showcase the work we are doing out there and provide a place to enter some great competitions and more. So to kick this off we have not one but two great competitions along with our current giveaways, to bring to our community.
Weekly Giveaways
- From July we will be providing a giveaway twice a week to all of our followers on our social media pages.
Major Competition
- We also have an amazing prize for one lucky person, of a fully catered party for 40 people, conditions apply of course and a winner will be drawn on the 4th of November. This is a great opportunity for you to host an amazing Christmas party, Birthday celebration, engagement pary or just an excuse to have a party.

Weekly Giveaways
Every Week we give away to five lucky winners dinner on us. 3 Times a week we giveaway to our local community via the Ferny Hills, Arana Hills, Everton Hills, Ridgy-Didge community page. To enter you must be a local living within the boundaries of the page and a member of this page. This prize is managed through the page.
We also have a competition we run via our Facebook page The Wood Fired Oven. Twice a week we give away a meal to a lucky winner. To enter go to our Facebook page, and comment to win on the weekly competitions.
For both of these competitions we give you the chance to win a meal of 2 x Wood Fired Pizzas and a Garlic Bread.
Win Catering for 40 people
Win a lunchtime catering package for up to 40 people (Starter package) at your home within 30mins of our Arana Hills Restaurant. We will provide a table and table cloth, plates, serviettes, you provide the guests and the drinks. The dates you can choose from are Saturday the 30th of November or Saturday 7th of December 2024.
How to enter:
- Like our social media profiles if you haven’t already. Facebook, Instagram.
- Comment on our post “Win catering for 40 people” and tell us what date you would have your party and what would you celebrate. Share the competition to your page and tag at least 3 Brisbane based friends that you would invite to your party-invite more if you want!
- Sign up for our Monthly Newsletter via email.
- Share a review on our Google profile-We’d love a 5 star review but if you think there’s something we can improve let us know by emailing chris@thewoodfiredoven.com.au Our Google profile can be found here.
Conditions:
- We need a flat area to park our truck or trailer, and will arrive at 10.30am for a 12pm service start time. Food service will end at 1.30pm or when all of your guests are full.
- We can provide the catering at a local Brisbane City Council park but details of this will be worked out with the winner.
- The dates are not transferable unless we can accommodate the change.
- The prize is not transferable for money, however you can gift the prize to someone else as long as the above conditions are met.
- We will provide the food truck or trailer, food, plates, serviettes and a food table. No drinks or other items are included in this prize.
- Dietary requirements such as Gluten Free or Vegan cheese are not included in the prize package-though your specific needs will be discussed with you and if there are a large number of dietary needs there may be additional costs.
- If you live further than 30 mins drive time from our restaurant at 2/290 Dawson Parade, Arana Hills QLD 4054, (assessed by us not Google maps as we may drive slightly slower for safety reasons) we may charge for travel time.
- Other conditions may be added during the competition time.
- Prize will be drawn on Monday 4th November and the winner will be notified through one or many of the following options-email, phone, text, messenger or however we can reach you.
- The prize must be claimed and details of the party organised with the winner by Monday 18th of November.
- The party can be used for any purpose you choose such as a Birthday party, Christmas Party, Street party, Engagement party or even a wedding, we don’t mind as long as the winner uses the prize on the dates and times provided.
- The judges decision is final and binding. Any requested changes etc will be decided by the owners of The Wood Fired Oven.
